just want to add...there is no entry fee...no prize except astronaut icecream for the finishers. If you get support on the route...DQ, if you use a cellphone DQ, if you have someone bring something to you on the route DQ, if your bike failss, you can: quit, drag it to the next check point or get a ride BACKWARDS on the course to a town.
So unlike RAAM, you have no support. You can't get help. NO DRAFTING ALLOWED.
No freaking bents.
I think 4-5 people finished it this year with several going to the hospital.
One guy said he left his tent out on the course which he got sick and puked in so the EMOs could find out what death really smelled like.
