A little older road bike suggestions
I have been doing research on a new bike for a few months now and after looking at many bikes in the 2000-4000 range I have decided that maybe I should dial it down a bit and look for something a little more reasoable considering I have never entered a race. My plan eventually is to get into racing and I really enjoy doing long rides 100+. I currently do 60+ milers on my steel single speed on the weekends and have really fallen in love with the feel of steel. My question for you is do you have any suggestions as to some older mid 80's to early 00's road bikes that I should look for on ebay/craigslist? It doesn't have to be steel but I want something that was at least decent for its time ie. shimano 600ish or similar. Thanks for the help, let me know if you need more information from me.
