We rode with some BF buds today. We began a Lake Loop, through Fairfield, Gordon Valley, Wooden Valley. Boat traffic to the lake was especially high, and given that one of the group was a first-timer and recovering from a torn knee ligament, we stopped at the Wooden Valley Rd./Hwy. 121 intersection and turned back. Made a side-trip up Twin Sisters Rd. to satisfy everyone's climbing urges. It worked. We finished the loop back the way we came out, pulling the rehab rider with the tandem. Lunch followed. We logged 60.89 miles on the tandem.
The grapes are heavy on the vines, the pears yellow on the trees, the firethorn berries are turning red. Fall is in the air and harvest is near.
