Alex makes amazing rims, for beginners. Theyre actually pretty well liked, but are notoriously cheap (and i dont mean the inflated price)
Formula hubs, I hate to say it, are the bottom of the barrel hubs.
That being said, I rode formulas to deep v's by weinmann for my first year and they held up fine.
