It's not too hard to guess what company the OP is referring to. Just take a look at his blog and past posts. And there aren't that many companies in the bay area with that many employees who would bike to work.
Out of curiosity, I looked, the only company I saw mentioned with any regularity was Google and that's nowhere near the area in question...
