You can generally pin down the era based on wheels size, lugs, and components. Are those 27" wheels? If so, I'm guessing it's from the 1960s.

Neal
Hi Neal, yes they are 27 inch Weinmann Alesa rims (dimpled type). I have read that they were produced from 1950 to 1970. The plastic saddle has the name 'Grand Prix' moulded into the sides, and is adjustable in a similar fashion to a Brooks. The plastic seat and Huret derailleur has me thinking maybe late 60s.
The lugs are Nervex, and a serial number is clear, but I am struggling to find info on Claud Butler frame numbers.
Thanks,
Ric.
