No comment on selling the bike, but you may want to reconsider whether you want to sell yourself out. A few weeks is not a fair test for you.
About twenty-five years ago I made a very similar choice that cost me twenty years of enjoyment in cycling. My free advice is to ride, ride, ride for a year or two and then decide.
