Reporting in: Power still out in my part of Bellaire. Thank the Lord for the cooler weather! My parents, in Highlands, have power restored, but until gasoline is more readily available, I will stay in Bellaire to be closer to work. Bellaire does still have water and natural gas, so sanitation is not an issue. I am working 12 hours on, twelve off, with no days off for a while, patrolling the streets, looking for looters and pillagers. I do not work for Bellaire PD, but for a larger neighboring PD, which is lucky for me, as the Bellaire police have to stay in Bellaire 24/7, though only on patrol for 12-hour shifts; I go home between my 12-hour shifts. Crime has actually been very light. The mentally ill have been giving us fits, as they seem unable to cope well, and the local mental health lock-up is full, so there is not much we can do with them. The local county hospitals are full, so if you don't have health insurance, stay well!

FWIW, regarding mobile phones and devices, Verizon and AT&T customers seem happy, whereas Sprint and T-mobile have spotty reception. Keep that in mind when shopping for mobile service providers. My family's Verizon phones and devices experienced no loss of reception; my Sprint phones have had spotty reception, though mostly still able to send/receive. As I type this, I am on laptop, with a Verizon Pantech USB-plug device, using vehicle power with an inverter.

Enough for now; much to do; y'all stay safe!
