The company my wife works for has an office in Houston on Post Oak at 610/59 area. They came through unscathed basically. Power and phone are on at the office, but the computer system took a hit. Server will not boot or somesuch.
They however will not reopen until next week so that their employees can deal with what needs to be dealt with and to conserve gasoline.
Glad to hear a bit of normalcy is returning.
On a side note, more help is on the way. I entered the freeway this afternoon next to a convey of Xcel Energy trucks, probably 30 or so boom trucks and a few Suburbans, all with Minnesota plates. It is amazing how much man power is being shifted to Texas for this.
