Thanks T-MAR, I thought that the wheels alone might be worth it. Good idea about the 105 group. It would actually be better than what I replaced the 600 Ultegra with some years ago. I'll ride the Trek 1400 and see if I can preceive any differnece climbing the steep hills on my commute, and evaluate to overall ride. Sounds like I have nothing to lose. Thanks again.
