How long did you borrow the bag for? Was it weakened by UV ? If so, was the damage mostly done during your tour ? Was it real weak when you borrowed it? I'd buy my friend who loaned me their trailer a new bag. Any fix would be pretty hokey. You might can get one on Ebay cheap.
