2. If you're with a customer and don't know the product info...do your best to make yourself sound smart.
Trust me, you'll feel like an idiot sometimes but everyone has to start somewhere...you'll get the hang of it.

Change that to "I'm sorry I dont know but I'll ask and get you the correct answer to your question". Thats what will gain you the customers respect.
Being able to tell a customer you don't know something but will get the right answer is the best advice I can give to anyone...in any profession.
