the affinity is not a pursuit frame. it's a low-profile sprint(ish) frame. pursuit frames have more roadish angles and slightly lower bottom brackets since they were made for riding lower on the track. not all forward-sloping top tube frames are pursuit frames.
edit: i guess i should answer the OP's question. i don't see a problem with riding a low-profile frame on the street. just set it up appropriately. if you feel the need to put a Nitto Technomic and riser bars on there, you should look into a more conventional frame.
