34 year old female,* started commuting two years ago 18 miles RT; summers only (well, through to October) so far, but this year I started in March and am planning to take the plunge on winter riding. Shorter commute this year, only 5 miles to college 3 days a week so it should be fairly easy. There is snow clearing all the way along my route.

(I walk to my part time job and drive to weekend craft markets.)

*35 in October, which is why I have been pushing myself hard this year and did my first century last month Wanted to get that out of the way before this particular landmark birthday.

Oh yeah, and I live with my boyfriend and some crazy animals; no kids, but I'm a Girl Guide leader so I get to play with them and then give them back. I'm a full time student - a year to finish my BA and two years of grad school to look forward to after that. Yay for quarter-life crises...
