You should have seen how bad the rims were on the '51 ladies' Sports "C" Tourist I got from Neal - and how minty they came out afterwards, original stainless spokes and all. Hardly had to put any effort into it, and not a single pit in the chrome to boot.

I'll say one thing though - the amount of polish applied to their stainless steel rims (the '51 above has a pair on it) leaves a bit to be desired. More of a satin finish, similar to the appearance of a clear anodized Campagnolo Nuovo Record crankarm. I realize these things were mass-produced, but I'm quite sure they could have been shined up a bit more by factory if they had desired.
