As the bride and I rode home from breakfast a few days back on our
E Z Tandem, we spied a new commuter mounting his bike onto the
front of a city bus. Now I've always been curious as to the mechanics
of our city bus bike racks, and as the driver was out assisting the
new commuter we decided to pull up and watch & learn. You should
have seen the look of terror on the bus drivers face when he looked
up and saw our 93" wheelbase tandem. He quickly recovered and explained
that our bike will not fit on the rack. We all had a good chuckle as I
explained that I just wanted to learn how the racks work.
