Admittedly, I am completely guilty of this. I have been a cyclist for a very long time, I have long distance backpacked, I own a touring bike, I ride my touring bike everyday, however... my longest "touring" experience was a short, but very fun, overnighter a few years ago. I will have another "tour" in the next couple weeks but it will involve only one night. I can't exactly call myself a "tourist".
How many people on this forum actually have extensively toured (long distance trip, many short distance trips, etc) and how many of us just dream about touring?

Let's see....
2007:
Overnight Edison, NJ to Red Bank, NJ.
Overnight Kimberton, PA to Cherry Hill, NJ.
four days Kimberton, PA, to Philadelphia, Doylestown, Bethlehem, and home.
2008
overnight Edison, NJ, to some small town in the southern part of the state.
overnight Kimberton, PA to Green Lane, PA
eight day Pittsburgh, PA to Washington, DC - last 100 miles SAGged because of a fractured rib.
nine day McKees Rocks, PA to Washington, DC.
And three more scheduled for this year:
three day - Kimberton to Cherry Hill to Ocean City and back (I'm riding in the MS City to Shore, which doesn't count, except that I'm riding to the ride start, which does.)
overnight to Green Lane
overnight to Philadelphia
I guess that makes me a tourer, despite the opinion of a couple of mouths here.
