I went to the my LBS today and told him basically what my original post above says. He however had the advantage of looking at the hanger closely and said it was in perfect shape and from his opinion it is only my rear derailleur that needs to be replaced. I was glad to hear that because I did not really want to hassle with frame adjustment costs.
I then came home and tried finding a 6 speed long cage derailleur that would work.
Any suggestions on a 6 speed rear derailleur? Remember I am using this bike for a long tour (2000+ Miles) so I want something reliable.
