Thanks! I like it a lot. Steel frames aren't for everyone, but I really like the solid feel of the ride.

And since doing the ss conversion on my old 10-speed, I find myself buying bikes just because it's fun to work on them. Between learning about the mechanics of everything and trying to keep costs down without sacrificing reliability, I spend more time tinkering than riding.

There really is something special about breaking a bike down and then rebuilding it, to be able to look at it and know every single bolt and hanger.

Someday maybe I'll have the confidence to invest in something high-end, but for now I'm obsessed with taking mid-level bikes and giving them a new life.
