Thanks for the advice so far, everybody. Unfortunately, I need to start using the bike ASAP, so I will be swapping in a wedge stem, an UGLY ******* that just happens to be lying around. And so begins the hunt for an expander with a little nub on it- I'll update everyone when I figure this out.
