problem with stuff like that or puttin in shims is that it raises the cleats up, which makes the contact not as stiff not a big deal on eggs, but if you ride candies or acids or w/e you want your shoe to hit the cage around the eggbeater so its a stiffer contact, also when you walk with shims in the cleats rub and wear faster and make annoying noises on floors. With shims at least, the transitioni from shim to shoe isn't smooth so it is annoying to clip in cause the shim can catch as you slide into the pedal.

i guess if you had a really thin piece of metal that could work without changing stuff to much but meh w/e
