Bikes: 87 RockHopper,2008 Specialized Globe. Both upgraded to 9 speeds. 2019 Giant Explore E+3

I used to just remove the indicator spindle, lay the bike on its side and drip a little oil in it. Wait a couple minutes, spin the wheel & repeat a couple times.
