im more worried about knee muscles then wrist ones, just from my past experience with wrists and ankles. When i lived in england i played field hockey at a national level, one of the many ways to rebuild muscle was to use a heavier stick at the beginning of the season then change to the nice one when muscles were there.

mind you i also rock climb so i have some wrist strength, just more support muscles, then quick moving ones.

i was more concerned about wood breaking quicker or something like that. always nice to know someone is there trying to stop me from hurting my self.
