And if you got a call about dangerous motorist behavior, complete with plate number, you'd do what? Laugh and pick your teeth?
Edit: well, maybe that's exactly what you would do. Once I talked to our local police chief, who shouldn't have needed the clue, and let him know about a well-known spot where people got drunk out of their minds at predictable times and then got into their cars and drove. My suggestion was that, since this is a well-known problem, perhaps he could at least pull over some of the offenders and have them blow into a balloon before they killed anyone. He claimed he couldn't because "I've only got one guy" (small town). I asked what his one guy was doing that was more important than stopping drunk drivers -- rushing to the scene of mass murders on East Axlebreaker Road on a daily basis, perhaps? He shrugged and walked away. So perhaps that kind of indifference is just a cop thing.
