A Trek 890 Frame dropped into the donation pile at the shop I volunteer at. I was not sure what the heck it was when i saw it... but did a look up at Vintage-Trek and i appear to be a very early MTN/Hybrid urban bike by Trek.

Has anyone had one of these/ridden one? I've only had enough time to take the serial and take a cursory look over. Just a frame and crank, headset, with a few other bits.

I've been looking for a lighter 'base' for my winter bike (Peugeot US Express) which runs a 3-speed shimano in back. I think I might just swap out the parts and use the Trek Frame.

Just looking for anyone's experience with this model #
