Perhaps you mean "do relatively quite well." Naturally, there tends to be less elasticity among those with more disposable income. However -- and in no way is this intended to impact any of PCad's pleasure and delight with getting his S2 -- there are some significant factors at play now. It is reasonable to argue that the number of folks with sufficient income to buy a high end bike is decreasing. In addition, high end homes -- including those in the $10+ million range -- are down significantly; luxury car sales are down significantly; same store (as well as Internet and catalog) sales for Tiffany in the US are down. I do not see much out there economically to suggest that high end bikes are going to be immune from troubling conditions.
