I use one of those tiny micro pumps to find the puncture in the tube and fill it up a bit after patching. Then I finish with the CO2. A 16 gram CO2 is enough to fill my 700x23 gatorskins to 120 psi doing it this way.
Yup yup. I carry a spare tube, a patch kit, and 2 canisters in my saddle bag. Takes up almost no room. Beauty.
