Thanks for all the replies. I watched a lot of the youtube videos but they all dealt with adjusting the stop screws and the heigh, very few of them dealt with the tension of the cable. By the time I realized that the cable was coming out of the clamp on the FD, I had messed up the tension so bad, that when I reattached the and tightened the cable back on the FD, the tension was so out of normal, that I had no idea how to idea how to get it back to normal. I'm pretty disappointed with myself, as I really wanted to get it fixed myself, but I guess taking it to the LBS is about my only option right now.
In addition, I noticed that where the cable previously was set in the clamp on the FD, the cable started to come unraveled a tad bit. If you pull the cable tight, however, you can get it to clamp in another spot, so I don't know if this small spot of unraveling will make a difference. i'll point it out to my LBS, and see if they think I should replace the cable or not.
