As for splits? Yeah, I could see that. Personally, I just use that little lap button that also came included with my Edge.
yes, i do sometimes use the lap button (e.g. when i'm doing hill repeats) but most of the time i'm too busy hammering that i can't be bothered taking my hand off the handlebar to press that button.
