If its raining I usually just get wet (unless its winter time, then I'll usually wear rain gear). I didn't buy fenders to stray dry. I bought fenders to keep the road grime away. Before fenders, my legs/back would be covered in that greasy, dirty, oily, nasty road grime. If its actually raining its not quite as bad because it will rinse off my legs, but if its barely raining, or when the roads are still wet, the nastiness from the road is no fun.
