I thought 'the word' was that high power LED lights have just about obsoleted HIDs.
They have, but the Fenix L2D Q5 isn't exactly "high power." It's good for its size & weight, but it's still just a 2AA pocket flashlight, not a Lupine Wilma or something
Also, some of the reasons LEDs are ousting HID go beyond the raw output. Long-term durability, the ability to run at super-low output, the ability to be flashed/strobed, instant startup, low weight and compact size... etc.
