My S.I.L left her boyfriend a couple weeks ago and her motor vehicle situation was iffy at best. I told her I'd set her up with the best bike she's ever had. (Easy to do because her dad was a cheap@$$)

Anyway, sourced a rigid mtb, add cruiser tires, comfy grips, used v-brakes, brake pads on sale, found cushy saddle in in middle of bike lane and she's excited as can be. She's going to avoid vehicle fees, get back in shape and help the environment.

She's got some shopping to do for accessories. I got her thinking about making a set of bucket panniers and getting a kid trailer for bigger shopping trips or taking her dog for an outing.
