Took my knobbies-that came with the new bike (too many flats) off the mtb commuter and went with a Specialized Crossroad 1.95 tire with a better tread pattern - for the Spring/Summer - no problems - BUT I do notice that if I'm on some slick spots on the road - I slide. So I'm already thinking of the Fall leaves, etc so off they go for the Fall and on go some nice mtb tires with kevlar (nanoraptors) - which I can use on my FS as well (I take my commuter on and off road btw). I take this bike out when I ride nighttime road/trails - with wet leaves and will feel better getting the current tire off. Will be going with studs for the full winter weather however.
