If I could only have one bike, it for sure would be a burly hardtail/fork combo, and a couple different sets of tires. Maybe a different entire fork/front brake setup with a crown race to make for easy swapping for bigger days.

It's tempting to stay full hardtail. Throw the 180mm Domain and the DH meats on the steel hardtail, and I'd have about the same angles as the squishy, and still weigh a couple pounds less. Then still have the other hardtail for "light flow" days. Setup that way, there isn't much from the squishy that I couldn't hit on that.

That said, there are some trails around here, and places out west where I'd really, really miss the squishy. Plus as I'm getting older, it's nice to have that forgiveness somedays, especially when riding multiple days back to back. Such as the upcoming seven days of riding in Moab. Figure since I have it, not much resale value, so may as well keep it, right?
