I feel confident enough in my road riding skills, aside from excess caution in downhills. Most of my touring has been on roads, or on roads with some trail riding. My two big tours this year were on trails and a towpath because I wanted to avoid hills and see some incredibly scenic areas.

Speaking of the South, an alternate I'm towing with is riding BRAG. My friend Phil has been trying to get me to ride it for a couple of years. In fact, he first brought the subject up back when I first learned to balance. Now that's a hard sell.
