I would do that if my main savings were going to photography. Right now, the only lenses I have are the wide-angle zoom lens (which isn't that great) and the 50mm prime. Thus, I just need a general zoom lengths for longer coverage areas.

I can wait for my new bike. I won't wait for a new (decent) lens.
