Update on Cyclist at War

Well, just got laid off from work yesterday and had today off...

So, I went down to the local Police station and asked for Officer C******, who happened to be off until Monday but the lady behind the counter pulled the report and directed me to the office of his supervisor.

Now, the officer and this guy were both very professional and very attentive. I appreciated that! I explained what happened and he took down the "gentleman's" name and address and asked if I wanted him to go visit him this afternoon...I asked for his recommendation...

He said that I did nothing wrong (calling 911 was certainly proper and no one had a problem with it) and that most people around here do not know bicycles are to follow the rules of the road the same as a motorvehicle, then, he said he would recommend continuing to ride but keep an eye on this guy and if it happens again (dangerous driving, threat, etc.), then, I can call to have him arrested as he is already in the file on the first report. I thought about it and thought how COOL this is...I am in control of this dirt bag! So, I agreed to see how it goes as I ride by his house each day and especially this Sunday morning at 9:00am.

Hope I live through it

Anyways, it seems this guy with the Georgia Bulldog flag on his front porch was still angry about the Georgia-Alabama game where the dawgs got their collective a***s whipped and took it out on me.

ALSO, the HOA is putting the GDOT "Share the Road" documents in this month's newsletter. This is great as I sent it to them for that purpose.

So the saga continues.
