We're even slower than that. We tend to average about 5 or 6 miles/hour overall - I don't know how fast we go when we ride, but we take a lot of breaks so we average that overall. We go about 30 - 50 miles/day as well. We find that gives us time to take lot of breaks (essential with kids) and time to smell the roses. To me, that's what touring is all about.

I could blame our slow pace on our kids, but in reality I think it's me that sets that pace. Don't tell the kids that though!!
