Do you have the room to move your brake levers and shifters in? Then just move the grips in a bit and add the bar ends. The grip shifter does take up more room then a brake/shifter combo. I do seem to recall that there is a bar end that goes inside the bar as opposed to clamping on the outside of the bar.
