To the person calling me a troll--no, I'm trying to understand why people run lights.
People run lights because they feel their convenience outweighs the law or that the law just plain doesn't apply to them because they are on a bike, rather than in a motor vehicle. Bottom line, cyclists don't like to have to stop.
IMO, there is a big difference between using your common sense and knowing when the law can be bent/slightly broken (isn't that like being a little pregnant?) safely, and just out and out doing WTF you want because you're an idiot. I think the term 'running/blowing' applies more to the latter, while most of us pretty much do the former.
Happy now, troll?
