It could be that the people you are arguing with are not in favor of breaking laws. That seems to be the major difference of opinion on Critical Mass. The other side of the coin seems to be that you New York riders don't need to worry about the Patriot Act as much as the NYPD storm troopers keeping people from riding. From some people's description of what takes place, I believe a good video sent out to news stations might be appropriate, but the NYPD just might beat someone to death for showing up with one.
I'm not talking about breaking laws and critical mass. I'm talking about the bike registration bill. I'm talking about destriping bike lanes. I'm talking about messengers getting killed by a double parked truck who didn't even get a ticket.
It's the whole package...
