I agree with lotek that a2psyklnut has every right in the world both to his opinion and to express it. It is hardly an uncommon one. The flaw in the argument is that noone can accurately point back to the "golden age" when we lived in a society much closer to Ms. Graham's ideal. The early 20th C. was no great shakes if you were black and native Americans probably don't look back on the 1800s with great nostalgia either.

Other than the above observation I will not enter the theological fray. My own beliefs tell me that the mind of God is beyond my ability to discern so I will not be bold enough to speak for Him.

As a teacher I work with kids and some are great individuals who would've jumped in the water to save the guy if they'd been there and some are downright scary. They're not very different from adults when you get to it. Unfortunately, this guy apparently was seen by some of the second type.
