Mt. Greylock is not officially open for cars but i can tell you that i was up to the summit 3 weeks ago and the pavement is perfect (it's paved ... oh and is it beautiful). they cut some new outlooks on the road and it has the feel of a real ero col 'de 'whateveryouwanttocallit... a great climb of about 10 miles with a bit of flat about 1/2 way up... some swithbacks ... and a great decent.

i live about 10miles from the base of greylock and i am so happy they finally re-paved it .. you should do it ... and bring some clothes because at the summit it is about 10 or more degrees cooler that at the base.
