Yes, that's what stumping me also with my motor replacement of the izip bike. I'm using a tnc motor without gear reduction and it's much harder to figure the ratio. I'm told it could be as high as 1 to 9.

My motor has 11 teeth and the sprocket has 44 and it's not enough. Like you, the motor heats like a biaatch. Geared motors are much easier to deal with.

Btw, I went to cyclone usa and they sell the crank, the extender, all the kit separate to install a cyclone motor, so that'll save some welding time etc... allthough I've also ordered the tnc parts you guys used to make the crank, so I'm setting up for the winter modding time. I have a warehouse to work from and when it doesn't snow(we're in snow removal) I'll just mod away most days.

So what size crank do you have now? Sounds like you'll need the 66tooth one.... or more?
