My drivetrain had very little lubrication and was squeaking the second group ride I did. I think it annoyed the piss out of everyone (myself included), but I was able to hold my own. Nobody criticized me (at least for the bike). Though one of the more well-known shop workers told me to get a bike from this century...which is what a shop worker would do anyway.
