I tried the Cateye cages last year. A bunch of teammates recommended them and they are cheap and light. But I thought they were junk- the bottles rattled around in them. I had an important race coming up so I splurged on a set of King Ti cages which I have used since.

After removing the Cateye cages I noticed that they were squished around the mounting holes. The cage "backbone" is an inverted U-shape. It looks like if your frames mounting bosses don't stick out a bit and fit up into the inverted U, the mounting screws squash it and the cage deforms. So that might have been why I got different results from my teammates. Something to watch out for if you use them.

The King cages are spiffy and light and work really well but they are not cheap. Their stainless cages also work well (one's on my rain bike) and are inexpensive.
