sorry, i wasn't familiar with the original posters frame specs, but operator has me corrected.
provided you are going to be swapping out to shorter cranks, then your road frame should be fine. i wasn't assuming track geometry is desired for everyday riding, i just wanted the poster to know that some frames are really cruiser-ish and putting them onto smaller wheels doesn't help any. If its road geometry, then you will deter any pedal strike against the front wheel while turning.
trackframes look great and are quick/nimble, but for your 30-40km of riding daily, then i suppose a road frame would suit you better.
