Yes, I think so.

Acknowledging it and working with the differences is what makes it all fit.

Yesterday he came home with two new "woods". I have no idea why they are called "woods" because they look like metal to me. And they're very shiny and slick looking. He was happy with his purchase, and I was happy for him. He didn't mention if they had improved his game or not, but I know better than to ask.

A few days ago I was talking about changing out the drivetrain on my Cannondale, throwing out gear ratios, Ultegra this and that, aluminum frame vs steel frame, etc. His eyes began to glaze over a little, he smiled and said, "that's really nice, honey." We laughed and moved on.

Thank God we are different from each other. It's balancing each other's strengths and weaknesses that makes the family work.

To the OP - all kidding aside - either ride your mtn bike, or offer up a deal to help her with something she needs.
