If you take apart a standard Shimano cassette, the spacers between the cogs will fit perfectly on the S/A hub. One 7-speed spacer will make the S/A sprocket fit tightly to the lockring, a 9-speed spacer less so. That is, the spacers that don't have splines machined into them. But you can probably get the original equipment spacers from Harris Cyclery.
