I've looked at Van Dessel and Moots. Any others?
I'm not sure how small they are but Waterford makes great framesets. If their price is a little steep try Gunnar, made by Waterford but TIG welded and maybe half the price. The Gunnar cross frame is either Reynolds 853 or True Temper which are about as strong and light as steel gets. Pluse Gunnar seems to have a cult following and higher than normal resale price. If that's not enough, they're made in America. Good luck on whatever you choose.
